This face-to-face course will be of benefit to qualified actuaries who did not study Subject 305 or Subject ST5 as part of their actuarial training, and want to know what finance and investment topics have been added to the actuarial syllabus in recent years. The course will suit those from any actuarial discipline, particularly those with an interest in finance or investment.

Actuaries do not need to refresh their maths or statistical skills for this course as the course is presented from a practical perspective.

Learning outcomes include obtaining a greater understanding of:

• Identifying and using behavioural biases in finance and investment
• Private equity and private debt
• Uses and pricing of swaps and swaptions
