This is a joint undergraduate programme, during which you will gain accounting skills as well as an extensive knowledge of the financial sector. Our BSc Finance with Accounting is designed to provide you with a core of technically demanding, yet applications-oriented, skills in finance and accounting, with options in economics.
This is a rigorous course that combines an open admissions policy with high standards. Where there are gaps in your previous education we will fill those gaps, but you will also achieve the same standard of training in the core skills of finance and accounting as in any other finance with accounting degree in the UK.
This course is also available for full-time evening study over three years.

About this course
Graduates can pursue careers in the financial sector, economics or accountancy. This degree may be useful in becoming a financial risk analyst, economist, statistician or chartered accountant.
We welcome applicants without traditional entry qualifications as we base decisions on our own assessment of qualifications, knowledge and previous work experience. We may waive formal entry requirements based on judgement of academic potential.

Course programme
This course is made up of a sequence of 15- and 30-credit modules totalling 360 credits over four years.
In Year 1, you take four compulsory modules, one of which must be either Quantitative Techniques I or Introductory Quantitative Techniques.
In Year 2, you take three compulsory modules, one of which must be either Quantitative Techniques II or Quantitative Techniques for Applied Economics.
In Year 3, you take three compulsory modules.
In Year 4, you take two compulsory modules and choose two option modules.
