This interactive course focuses on both the enterprise level, with emphasis on enterprise value, and the investor level, concentrating on risk management and wealth maximisation. You will develop an understanding of the role of financial management on enterprise value, and an appreciation of the characteristics of the different securities and main financial markets. You will also explore financial market opportunities in the context of wealth management, and engage with experiential activities such as simulations.

Course programme

In week one you will study English Culture and have the opportunity to build both your English language and your confidence. The workshops include a series of fun activities which focus on a team project. At the end of the week, you will have the chance to present your team project ideas.

In the next three weeks you will study:

  • business finance and capital structure;
  • financial management, enterprise value and decision-making;
  • portfolio management and asset allocation;
  • securities and financial markets in action: the Bloomberg terminal; and
  • behavioural issues in wealth management.
