'EXECUTIVE' BUSINESS SIMULATION
What is it?
Executiveis a computer-based business simulation that uses real data and models the Western European Car Industry. It allows up to nine teams to run competing companies in an interactive market.
Who uses it?
Users ofExecutiveinclude a wide spectrum of public and private sector organisations and higher education institutions and business schools. The uses of the system range from the strategic and financial aspects of running a business to advanced leadership and team building courses.
How is it used?
Executiveis used to give experience, filling the gap between theory and the real world. It can also be used as an event on its own, as a theme to a course, in a supportive, illustrative role or as an introduction or conclusion to a training issue.
What does it do?
Executiveprovides effective and memorable management and business training and covers all the key business areas, including finance, marketing, production, strategy, quality and interpersonal skills.
How 'Executive' Works...
Competing teams make business decisions for the operation of their companies based on market data and their experience. Decisions are saved to a diskette which allows "what-if" testing of strategies prior to rapid processing on the Master System. Full company annual reports are generated for all teams.
Benefits of 'Executive'...
Flexible:Addresses training in all aspects of business awareness, from the specific skills of finance and marketing to creating a demanding, competitive environment conducive to behavioural training, i.e. team building through to negotiating skills.
Realistic:It brings life to the traditional techniques of lectures and case studies by allowing participants to make real decisions about managing a business successfully in a competitive market.
Relevant:Participants learn to make quality decisions as the choices made directly affect the performance of the company. These are then easily transferred back to the everyday workplace.
Memorable:The exciting reality of the subject means that participants become very involved and experience the consequences of their decisions. They work on the stimulating task of building a successful business in a condensed period of time.
Effective:Its practical approach means that issues are tackled in a risk-free environment in a challenging and rewarding manner. This results in personal and team development which increases individuals" value to their Organisation.
Easy to use:The software is very easy to use despite the complexity of its internal structure. The power of the computer is used to produce detailed, well presented information from a comprehensive set of management decisions.
