This course will benefit you if you manage others in any connotation, but feel that your voice lacks gravitas, authority or the clarity to convey a message with the correct intention. Through structured rigorous exercises you will come to a greater understanding of what you can achieve with your voice.

About this course
Apply a regime of vocal skills to your ongoing and developing practice.Develop authority and gravitas through pause, pitch and pace.Identify the factors that will obscure the clarity of your message.
You will need a notebook and pen and a small hand mirror. You will need to purchase or borrow from the library relevant reading material around the subject; for example Gravitas by Caroline Goyder.

Breath control; capacity; pressure.
Articulation.
Resonance and pitch.
Phrasing and the clear delivery of a message.
Exercises for the whole class, some pair and small group work. Individual presentations of text, applying the vocal techniques learnt. Some homework is required in the preparation of text pieces.
