By the end of the course, participants will be able to: provide emergency first aid at work. administer first aid to a casualty with: injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries. chest injuries. burns and scalds. eye injuries. sudden poisoning. anaphylactic shock. recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes). Suitable for: Any person who is to be designated as a First Aider at work. All employers in the UK have a legal obligation to make First Aid provision for their employees.

About this course
This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills for a person to classified as the company's registered First Aider in the eyes of the HSE
Everybody who needs to qualify for the role of First Aider in teh workplace
Delegates need to be able to undertake practical work on the floor as part of the programme and assessment.
We use cosmetic make up in our assesments therefore delegates are reminded not to wear clothing that may be damaged by these products
Successful delegates will get a HSE approved First Aid Industry Body(FAIB) certificate valid for 3 years
We use Paramedics, Nurses and advanced skills trainers to provide a "street wise" bias to the training

FIRST AID AT WORK INITIAL COURSE

This course looks at the requirements to provide basic First Aid knowledge within an organisation.
The First Aid at Work Initial Course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful delegates receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.Who should attend?
