By the end of the course, participants will be able to: provide emergency first aid at work. administer first aid to a casualty with: injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries. chest injuries. burns and scalds. eye injuries. sudden poisoning. anaphylactic shock. recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes). Suitable for: Any person who wishes to renew a valid First Aid at Work certificate. Delegates will need to supply a copy of their full certificate before attending this course. Failure to do so will result in delegates not being able to attend the course

Delegates are reminded that this course involves a significant amount of practical work on the floor.
There is also cosmetic makeup used in the assesment and delegates are reminded to wear clothing that is not affected by this.

This course complies with the new requirements for First Aiders introuced on 1st October 2009 it refreshes and updates the First Aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at Work certificate and whose existing certificate is still valid.
If your First Aid at Work certificate has expired you are not eligible to attend this course.

Any person who wishes to renew a valid First Aid at Work certificate. Delegates will need to supply a copy of their full certificate before attending this course
