Four GCSEs at grade D, or a BTEC Introductory qualification in ICT (Merit or Distinction) or OCR Diploma qualifications in, for example, ICT Practitioners and i-Media. We will also consider your other achievements at school and examples of your work.

First Diploma for ICT Practitioners
This course introduces you to ICT at an Intermediate level. You will use ICT systems to learn about computers, find out how to use IT, learn about information systems and databases, produce different business documents, use business software applications and develop a website. You will develop understanding and practical skills in the field of ICT.
What will I be doing?
You will study six units:
- introduction to computer systems
- uses of IT
- information systems
- introduction to databases
- business applications
- web development
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through completion of assignments and projects throughout the course.
Where do I go from here?
You may choose to go directly into employment within the IT industry, or further your education at advanced level before going on to study at university.
