About the course
Before you start we will agree which is the right programme for you, based on your experience, any certificates you may have and an assessment.
As an Apprentice you will cover a range of topics and gain your Work-based Diploma (formerly NVQ) Level 2 and Functional Skills, plus industrial skills and certificates such as First Aid.
As an Advanced Apprentice you will gain Work-based Diploma Level 3, Functional Skills and First Aid, plus industrial skills and a technical certificate. You may also have the opportunity to enter shows and competitions.

Wired and tied designs: Modern corsage, textured posy, presentation
bouquet

Wedding work: Shower bouquet, top table arrangement, cake decorations

Funeral work: Double ended coffin spray, based tribute

Health and Safety: Safe working practices, risk assessment, first aid

Flower and plant care: Conditioning and maintaining plant materials,

Customer service: Benefits and features of products, retail telephone
skills,customer care service, dealing with complaints

Functional skills in Maths, English or ICT (dependent on previous
qualifications)
At Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) candidates will be required to work on more complex designs to meet industrial requirements.
