Course programme

Course Content:
The first day will be geared around designs for weddings. We will explore the latest trends for weddings and create designs based around these .

The second day will be centred around trends for funeral or sympathy but at the same time these designs can be adapted for general use.

The final day we will explore designs for events.

Students will be required to bring the flowers , foliage and materials for making the designs each day. The tutor will give advice on where to purchase these at reasonable cost.

During the practical workshop you can reproduce or apply your own interpretation of the design demonstrated by the tutor.

By the end of the course you will-
Understand the use of basic tools for floristry
Demonstrate conditioning and care for a range flowers and foliage
Demonstrate some of the latest techniques used in floristry
Understand some buying and ordering of flowers and foliage
Practice health and safety procedures used in floristry
Begin a portfolio of work .
Construct floral designs., which you will take home.
