Forensic psychology is the intersection between psychology and the justice system.
A distance learning course is the ideal way to gain a Level 3 Diploma in Forensic Psychology. The aim of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to study Forensic Psychology at level 3, as well as its principles and practices at level 3.
Forensic psychology is often perceived as concerning criminal investigation and profiling. While this is one aspect it is not the only one, forensic psychology also relates to the assessment and treatment of criminal behaviour.

About this course
On this course you will:
Learn to recognise how different research methods can help us research criminal behaviour
Understand current theory in relation to the committing of offences
Describe typical personal traits of offenders and how profiling can assist detection of crime
Review the use of forensic psychology in prevention of re-offending
Working within forensic psychology is varied both within, and across, forensic settings and may include both occupational and clinical elements. Work is undertaken with offenders, victims, criminal and civil justice staff and managers.
You don't need any prior skills in the subject area to start this course.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details all of the units you have completed as part of your course).
