Health & Safety Responsibilities. Basic Principles of Stability. Operators Safety Code & Legislation. Pre-Use Inspection Procedures. Traction Battery Maintenance & Charging. Manoeuvering in Restricted Areas. Manoeuvering on Sloping Surfaces (Laden & Un-Laden). Pallet Handling. Lorry Loading & Un-Loading Techniques. Pallet Racking Systems. Stillage & IBC Handling & Stacking. Theoretical & Practical Testing. Suitable for: Candidates will have received adequate formal basic operator training and be certificated for the category of Pallet Stacker (High Level) Forklift Truck on test. (documentary evidence must be provided to support this claim).

Accredited by RTITB this 1.5 Day Course (10 Hours) is for operators with some previous experience (possibly self taught) and will be familiar with the steering characteristics of this machine but will not have received any basic skills training. Course members should be over the minimum school leaving age, they should have a reasonable degree of physical fitness and be able to satisfy the requirements of the HSE as published in HSG6 "SAFETY IN WORKING WITH LIFT TRUCKS". Candidates should also possess the necessary level of mental fitness and learning ability required
