Structure of the Course

  • Stage 1: Attend a 10 day Instructor course at TAL, observing and understudying our Tutor.
  • Stage 2: At a later date, attend the second week of a 10 day instructor course at TAL, taking on the assessment and direction of trainee instructors.
  • Stage 3: Set up a course at your own Training Centre. This will need to be monitored by ITSSAR and will require a qualified tutor to be in attendance for part of the course – the exact duration to be arranged at the time.

Assessments and Monitoring

Throughout training, performance is recorded in an ITSSAR portfolio and only when all 12 units of the performance criteria are met will applicants be given Category 4 accreditation.

The portfolio is examined and signed off by the visiting Training Standards Advisor.
