Course review:
The Foundation Degree builds on knowledge acquired in A-Level or BTEC Music Courses as well as improving instrument techniques to a professional level.
Instrument Specific lessons are held weekly with a working professional musician to improve your technical proficiency with your instrument (Guitar, Bass, Vocals and Drums) and advanced Musical Theory concepts are also applied.
The course also gives a professional grounding in Recording Technology - specifically Pro Tools - taught by working enqineers who will teach the use of MIDI, Microphone placement and technique, dynamic control and effects us and advanced editing techniques to produce high quality commerical grade productions.
Performance is also covered on the course as well as essential business networking and entrepenureal skills.
As a Teaching is a big souce of income for many of todays musicians, there is a module based around learning to teach and The Academy will also part fund a Level 3 Teaching Qualification.
