On this Friday evening session we will visit the Roman Britain Gallery and adjacent galleries and explore silverware, glass and jewellery from Roman Britain. We will also explore how Roman imagery was used and copied in medieval art.

About this course

- Describe an example of the re-use of Roman art in the medieval period
- Describe two types of subject matter on Roman silverware.
- Give examples of how people from different cultures co-existed in the Roman Empire.

The course will be taught offsite in in a guided gallery vistit to the British Museum with group discussion. Please note we are unable to guarantee stools in the rooms that we visit so you might have to stand and to walk between objects.
