Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.
Entry Requirements
GCSE grades D-G, or an Entry Level qualification.
You will also need to demonstrate a satisfactory performance on an initial assessment test and provide a recent reference.
About the course:
The diploma has real-world context, and is designed to be engaging and motivating. The Diploma is made up of Principle learning, generic learning and additional/specialist learning. The Principal Learning component provides learners with an overall appreciation right across the sector, including aspects such as: design; construction; valuation and use; job roles, craft and operative, technician and professional; together with the impact of the built environment on society, business and the environment.
Assessment:
There is a combination of internal and external assessments.
After the course:
You can progress onto Level 2 Diploma in Construction and Built environment and/or industry.
