Course Description
3D Design will introduce you to a variety of experiences exploring a range of 3D media and techniques. Drawing, using different media,processes and scale underpinned by the use of sketchbooks. Contextual knowledge, understanding of artefacts and images, both European and non-European. Practical design and 3D working methods such as model making, construction and assembling.

Course Content AS Level

• Module 1: Project based; learning a range of 3D techniques and basic skills in model making
• Module 2: Exam Module; four weeks preparation, 5 hour exam

A2 Level

• Module 3: Personal Investigation; develop an idea, concept or theme. Dissertation; 1000 · 3000 words
• Module 4: Exam Module; four weeks preparation, 15 hour exam

Career Progression
AS to A2 and A2 progression onto the Foundation Studies in Art and Design, Higher Education e.g. Foundation Degree, HNC/D or BA Hons
