      No formal qualification is required for Education Studies but there is a need to demonstrate a deep commitment to this type of study. In order to enrol on the Teacher Training pathway you need to hold GCSEs in English, Maths and a Science (as part of the education studies pathway you will cover these subjects). Your initial assessment will include both Maths and English.

      Course Description
      The pathway is designed for those aged 19 or over who have an interest in entering teaching in either primary or secondary education. The aim is to give students the knowledge and confidence to study in higher education at degree or diploma level.

      Entry Requirements
      No formal qualification is required for Education Studies but there is a need to demonstrate a deep commitment to this type of study. In order to enrol on the Teacher Training pathway you need to hold GCSEs in English, Maths and a Science (as part of the education studies pathway you will cover these subjects). Your initial assessment will include both Maths and English.

      Assessment Methods
      We make the pathway assessments as supportive as possible. The forms of assessment will cover those found in university, which will be mainly continual assessment with some exams.

      Progression
      Degrees in BED/BA QTS or Education Studies at the University of Greenwich. You could choose to defer your teaching studies so that you can concentrate on another degree then return to teaching by completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education
