Course Content
This one-year full time programme is aimed at people who have an interest in Social Welfare or Nursing and Health professions.
All students will study core modules: Communication skills; Application of numbers; IT; Research Skills; Tutorial; Citizenship
Academic areas of study include: Psychology; Sociology; Social policy; Ethics of welfare
Teaching/Assessment
This course supports students to gain qualifications that will allow them to progress onto Foundation and level 1 programmes within University.
Progression
Students can enter Higher Education courses in Criminology, Psychology, Social Policy, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Health and Social Care and many others.
This course provides excellent career prospects including degree levels in nursing, radiography, midwifery, social work and probation.
