About this course
This one-year course requires students to have two GCSEs at grade D or above including English, Maths or Science. Students may also enter onto this course if they have completed the Foundation Animal Care course at Merit or Distinction level.

What will the course involve?
The course consists of six units which are assessed through coursework. Units include: animal biology, industry and organisations, animal health, welfare and behaviour, care of exotic animals, animal accommodation and handling.
What can I do afterwards?
Following satisfactory completion of the programme at Merit or Distinction level, students may progress to the National Diploma in Animal Management.
