Course Details
This course is designed to help students find their direction within the specialist areas of Art, Craft and Design. Students will
experience a wide range of learning activities which will enable personal development and the acquisition of practical, creative and analytical skills. This course will be valuable and relevant should they go directly into employment or University.
What will I study?
You will experience a broad-based, diagnostic programme that
includes five mandatory units delivered over two years that cover the following:

·Visual Recording in Art & Design
·Materials, Techniques and Processes in Art & Design
·Ideas and Concepts in Art & Design
·Visual Communication in Art & Design
·Contextual Influences in Art & Design

Students study a further ten specialist units that cover Fine Art,
Textiles, Fashion, 3D Design and Craft, Photography, Media and Graphic Design. A summative Final Major Project covering three
further units negotiated and written by students towards the end of their second year.

Entry Requirements:
Progression/Careers: UCAS points are gained according to your level of achievement. You may progress onto University Degrees, HNDs or Foundation Studies Diplomas. The qualification will enhance employment prospects.

Costs/Equipment: Studio Fee: between £45- £95 per year, plus materials for personal use and visits outside of College
