Description of course:
This is a full time course equally suitable for school leavers and mature students. It is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments in 3D, graphic design, fine art, fashion/textiles that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. It is equivalent to three A levels. You will study eighteen units - eight mandatory core units, taken by everyone and ten specialist units. The specialist units enable you to study particular areas in depth.

Entry requirements:
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above or a merit/distinction grade at a Level 2 vocational course. Art, Graphics, Resistant Materials or Textiles GCSEs are recommended.

Specific entry requirements:
A portfolio of artwork is essential at interview.

Additional qualifications studied:
All full time students will undertake a combination of additional qualifications that will enhance their study skills and those skills that will be important in employment.
