Course Description:
This course prepares you for a BA Honours Degree or HND/Foundation Degree at university in an art and design area.
Course Content:
This course covers:
· drawing
· painting
· sculpture
· printmaking
· photography
· textiles
· graphic design
· history of art & design.
You will specialise in terms two and three.
Assessment:
Continuous assessment, final self-directed project and participation in a public exhibition in June.
Next Steps:
HND/Foundation Degree, BA Honours Degree course or employment.

Entry Requirements:
Normally you will be aged 18 and over at the commencement of the course. A minimum of one A2 Level and four GCSEs at grade C or above or AVCE Double Award in Art and Design or National Diploma or Certificate in Art and Design is required. You will be required to submit a portfolio of artwork, which demonstrates commitment and enthusiasm for the subject. Applications from mature students are welcomed. Often these
students will have a Level 3 qualification in Art and Design that shows a conceptual understanding of the field. In exceptional circumstances, students may have a portfolio that demonstrates this without the qualification.
