Is the course for me?
This one year course is for students wanting to develop skills in a range of Performing Arts activities. It is focused on developing the practical skills of drama, dance and voice plus some creative approaches to theatre and practical working methods.

What will I learn?
The course is aimed at people who are interested in developing a variety of skills related to the performing arts industry. The course is predominantly practical with some written assignments. The course involves a combination of performance with different modules including acting and dance. This course is fun whilst learning new skills to take you on a progression route to a level 3 qualification (National Diploma in Performing Arts, Musical Theatre or Dance). There will be a selection of enrichment activities including: tap, ballet, street dance company and college radio (free of charge), and you will be invited to theatre trips and residentials throughout the year.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is continuous through portfolio, written assignments, workshops and practical performances.

What can I do after the course?
Depending on your overall course grade you will be able to progress onto the 2 year National Diploma.
