About this course
You will normally require one of the following:
- 4 GCSEs grade C + and a minimum of Maths and English at grade D;
- Intermediate GNVQ at Merit and 2 Functional Skills at level 2;
- or Equivalent qualifications.
Learners over 20 years old without formal qualifications will be given every consideration.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You will develop into a confident, mature, fit and self-reliant person who is a good team player and highly motivated. It will prepare you for entry to the Public Services.
WHAT DO I NEED?
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend classes for approximately 18 hours per week. In addition, you will need to spend 6 - 10 hours / week on coursework at home or in college. Your assignments will need to be completed by the set time and you will need to attend, regularly and punctually.
WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
You will obtain a National Certificate in Public Services. You will also complete a programme of Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT. These Functional Skills are an essential requirement for employment progression, higher education and other further education courses.
