This course is for you if:
The course is designed to encourage those students who wish to enter the automotive industry. The course will either lead to a progressive route or allow students to seek either employment or introduction to a training provider. The design of the course allows students to complete the set units with full support of qualified staff. The C&G External Verifier assesses the unit assignments and confirms student's progress. Final testing is undertaken on line one exam for each unit.

Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

About the course:
Year 1: The course consists of three mandatory units. Unit 1: Health and Safety. Unit 2: Vehicle components. Unit 3: Wheels and tyres. The course will cover both practical and theory aspects within the three units. The student will be able to develop their skills and knowledge within the automotive industry.
Year 2: The course consists of a selection of mandatory and optional units.
Facilities: Automotive is well established with a fully equipped workshop, able to deal with all aspects of automotive repair. There is support with well-equipped computer facilities containing all supporting software.

Assessment:
The course is assessed by three practical assignments and three online exams.

After the course:
Introduction to level 2 or a training agent for work placement with continued training.
