Satisfactory references and a CRB check are required and you must also be able to show, at interview, the ability and aptitude to work with children from 0-8 years in any setting.
Academic Progression:
This course provides the underpinning knowledge you will need for NVQ in Early Years Care and Education at Level 2, if you wish to progress to this further qualification. It could also qualify you to progress to a Level 3 National Diploma/Certificate course if you do well.

Work Placement:
The programme involves attending a designated early years setting for 2 days a week and some 'block weeks'. This is an assessed part of the course.
