What will I be learning?

You will learn how computer systems work and how ICT is used to present information. You will study a number of specialist units related to computer hardware and software, to gain understanding of how to maintain and use computers.

How will I learn?

You will complete a college-based project based on realistic workplace situations covering the wide range of use of computers. You will gain hands-on practical skills in computer systems and fault diagnosis using a range of hardware and software techniques, and be assessed on the skills you gain

What else might I want to know?

You will gain two qualifications on this course; a BTEC First Diploma and an NVQ for IT Professional Practitioner (CG4324).

What can I do afterwards?

If you gain merit you could progress to a National Certificate Course in IT.
