Foundation Construction Award (FCA) in Brickwork

Length of Course : 1 year

Description: A recognised construction industry qualification, this course is designed to give school leavers an opportunity to gain first level brickwork skills. The course contains both practical and theoretical content, which provides sound underpinning skills for beginner level.

  • Handle and Store Resources
  • Contribute to Work Relationships
  • Contribute to Providing Working Platforms
  • Prepare Materials for Use
  • Prepare Components for Use
  • Use Components and Materials


Entry requirements : All candidates will have an informal interview with the Course Tutor. Previous experience and qualifications will be taken into consideration. Enthusiasm and commitment are essential

Progression/Career Opportunities: On completion of the Foundation Course, successful candidates can progress onto the Intermediate Construction Award.
