About this course

Students must have at least 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above, which must include a DD in Double Science and a D in Mathematics. They must also pass a college entrance test in Mathematics. They must also have an appropriate level of English to cope with the demands of the course, as well as a strong interest in Science and IT. Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

About the course:
This is a one year intensive revision course. The programme is designed to give students who narrowly failed to gain sufficient GCSE passes, the opportunity to progress on to study Science subjects at AS Level or enter an AVCE or BTEC National Vocational Science Programme. Students on the course study a package of 6 GCSEs in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and ICT.

After the course:
Upon passing the GCSE Science re-sit course, you will be able to progress to a level 3 programme of study.
