Is it right for me?
This course provides a starting point for candidates who wish to pursue a career in construction as the main qualification is the nationally recognised Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills. As well as supporting candidates wishing to work in this chosen area, it also allows progression on to other qualifications, such as a Work Based Learning Apprenticeship training programme or other Level 2 construction courses.

What qualifications will I need?
This qualification is ideally suited for those candidates who have a genuine interest and passion in construction. Candidates should have GCSEs grade F and above (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and/or have successfully completed the "Entry To Employment" training programme.

• Functional skills in Literacy, Numeracy and IT
