Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs at Grade D-G or above or other relevant qualifications and satisfy ACCESS NI Assessment Methods and health checks.

Course Content
Examples of modules studied include: Communication and Individual Rights within the Health and Social Care Sectors Cultural Diversity in Health and Social Care Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social care Human Lifespan Development If you are accepted onto this course without a Grade C or above in Maths and/or English you will be required to complete the relevant Essential Skills qualification. This will be a compulsory part of your timetable.
Course Aims
To provide a specialist work related qualification in the Health and Social Care field.
Special Features
Students spend one day per week in a work placement in a wide range of care settings working with older people, young children and individuals with special needs.
Assessment Methods
Each unit is assessed by assignments and awarded a pass, merit or distinction grade.
