The Course
This timber trade course has been designed to meet the criteria and requirements of the leading bodies, Construction Skills and City and Guilds. It also aims to enhance the learners career prospects within the construction industry, enabling them to work to an advanced level. The course has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions and the tests are based on the learner showing what they can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.

Course Content
Safe working practices, information, quantities and communicating with others, building methods and construction technology, advanced first fixing and second fixing, complex structural carcassing and setting up of machinery.

Assessment/Exams
End of unit online tests, City and Guilds end of year test and a practical synoptic test.

Progression/Career Path
Progression to Level 4 and Higher Education.
