Course Description
This programme is designed to provide the opportunity of masters level study for learning professionals working in a variety of roles in secondary, further, higher, adult and community education contexts as well as training organisations and prison education. The central theme of the programme is the promotion of innovation and enterprise in teaching and learning.

The programme is suitable for early and mid career professionals who are keen to learn how to foster, develop, design, lead and manage innovative and creative modes of teaching and learning for the 21st century.

Course Content / Structure
The programme aims to foster the knowledge, skills and understanding required for learners to lead, manage change and project manage innovative activities in their own professional context. Learners will engage with the educational challenges and opportunities provided by new and emerging technologies and will further develop their research and reflection skills.

Modules include:
  • Contemporary Issues in a Professional Context
  • Leading and Managing Innovation
  • Enhancing Practice through Technological Innovation
  • Educational Research and Reflective Enquiry
  • Innovation and Enterprise Project


Course Assessment
Your progress on this programme will be assessed using a variety of methods including case studies and scenarios, portfolios of evidence, peer assessment, essays and projects.
