Students completing this course will be given preference when modern apprentices/employment vacancies become available. This will allow them to carry on and complete an NVQ Level 3 or an advance modern apprenticeship.

Operation and Repair of all Vehicle Systems * Fault Finding: Engine, Ignition and Cooling, Fuel and Exhaust, Electrical Systems, Brakes, Suspension and Steering * Engine Preparation * Lubrication - Wet and Dry * Fuel Systems * Exhaust Gas Treatment * Electronic Ignition Systems for Road and Race * Maths * Science and Electronics * Competition Vehicle Preparation.

How will you be assessed
Students will be assessed by carrying out practical tasks in the workshop. Students will complete assignment work, undertake on-line exams and construct a portfolio.

What can you do after course
Progress to Motor Sport Level 3 or NVQ 3.

Additional information can be obtained at interview. All students will carry out Functional Skills with this course.
