Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

Entry Requirements
You will need 3 GCSEs grades A*- D including Maths and English or will need to pass an assessment before being accepted.
Additionally all applicants must pass a pre-interview and assessment at one of our college sites.

About the course:
this course provides basic training and a level 1 qualification that you will need to pursue a career in the plumbing industry.
The course will be approximately 50% Practical and 50% Theory, enabling you to gain experience of common basic plumbing systems.

Assessment:
the course is assessed by completing the following 5 units:-
  • Unit 1 - Introduction to construction work
  • Unit 2 - Principles of health and safety
  • Unit 3 - Handling and storing material and components
  • Unit 4 - Personal Work Skills
  • Unit 13 - carrying out Plumbing Operations
After the course:
Achievement of the OCNW Level 1 National Award in Plumbing will allow Learners to progress to Level 2 plumbing qualifications: technical certificate in Plumbing (Certificate in basic plumbing studies)
