Is this course right for me?

This programme is for anyone who has an interest in children and will look at child development from conception through to 16.

What will I be learning?

You will look at child development and
learn how to look after babies and toddlers, care for children and the elderly and understand how to be safe in your working practices.
You will also cover:
numeracy, literacy & IT and employability skills

How will I learn?

Mainly a practical course where you will get the chance to do lot's of exciting activities such as craft for children, wall displays and looking after the interactive babies. You will have to produce a folder of work which will include some written work as well as photographs, observations from Staff, and some assignments.

What else might I want to know?

You may go on outside visits and this might mean an extra cost.

What can I do afterwards?

You could progress to the Level 1 Children Health and Wellbeing course at South Devon College.
