If you wish to enter the hair and/or beauty occupation, this is the course for you.

What will I be learning?

You will develop a range of hairdressing and beauty therapy practical skills and techniques on peers and family memebers as well as assisting the stylist/therapist. Throughout the course, you will develop your communication, practical & dexterity skills along with confidence when dealing with colleagues, clients and visitors which are essential within the industries of hairdressing and beauty therapy.

How will I learn?

You will learn in a practical simulated environment on peers and family members with a dedicated member of staff who will support you throughout your learning. As well as developing your practical skills you will also develop your literacy and numeracy skills in our state of the art classrooms. These skills will assist you in gaining recognised qualifications as well as enhance your employability prospects.

What else might I want to know?

This is a practical course which will help improve not only your learning and understanding of the subject but also your confidence. The teachers are friendly, easy to talk to and helpful.

There are no examinations on the course as all of your work is assessed through coursework.

You are required to purchase a uniform for practical sessions. Full cost and ordering process will be advised at interview.

What can I do afterwards?

After successful completion of the course you will be able to progress onto a Level 1 hair or beauty therapy course, an apprenticeship or employment.
