Course Content:
The course involves the mandatory units listed below and a selection of optional units some of which are given for example
Mandatory Units:
The candidate is required to complete all three of the following units:
- Working safely in an engineering environment
- Developing yourself and working with other people on engineering activities
- Using and communicating technical information
Additional Units:
- Building and testing electronic circuits
- Maintaining and testing instrumentation devices
- Using programmable logic control based systems
- Using computer numerical controlled machines
Vocational Relevance:
Level 2 competences are the basic skills for employment.

Full-time. Details regarding expected course timetable and attendance will be given at interview, if available.
Entry Requirements:

All applicants will be invited to an interview with the tutor. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts.
