TOTAL FEE Free to everyone with settled status in the UK, EU or EEA who have been resident in those countries for the last three years and to those with home student status, such as refugees or those with exceptional/indefinite leave to remain, with humanitarian status, or asylum seekers who have been resident in the UK or three years and/or in receipt of benefit. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
None, although applicants will need to be at least 16 years of age and are unlikely to achieve grade G or above at GCSE. Applicants also need to show they have the potential to achieve and have a keen interest in the subject.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This programme is designed for those students who are keen to learn and who wish to access the national framework of BTEC, GCSE, GNVQ and NVQ qualications in the future. Students will study three vocational units and three core units to gain the full award. The core units are Investigating Sport and Recreation, Sport and Recreation Practice, and Investigating persoanl lifestyles. In addition, students will study additional core and option units for which they will achieve additional qualifications. Also, students will study Numeracy and Literacy qualifications at their indivdually assessed level. All students will partcipate in a two-week work placement in a relevant vocational area.

PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
On successful completion of this programme students will be able to progress onto BTEC Introductory, NVQ Level 1 programmes at Croydon College or other institutions in their chosen vocational area.
