Course Description
This course is designed to prepare you to work as a Carpenter/Joiner. It has been specifically developed for delivery in College using simulated conditions. You will learn how to use all the necessary tools of the trade, but you will be required to supply your own safety footwear and gloves as well as any stationery you need to complete written coursework.

Entry Requirements
You will need a pre-entry interview with the course tutor, and successfully pass an entrance test. Entry to this course is based on a combination of previous experience and qualifications as well as an assessment interview with College staff. Further details are available on enquiry.

Assessment Methods
Internal assessment is by a series of practical tasks, assignments and progress tests externally verified by the CAA. These qualifications are appropriate for those who expect to operate as craftsman in the construction industry.
