Course Details

This course is aimed at learners who have completed their NVQ Level 1 in Hairdressing and it is to prepare learners for work in the hairdressing sector. The course is theory based with practical back up. The theory consists of nine written assignments, an online 40 question multi choice test and 5 written paper based tests for the technical units. During the practical learners will undertake, consultation skills shampooing and conditioning the hair Styling hair cutting colouring perming selling services and products. The practical assessments are aimed at improving consultation and communication skills as well as technical skills. All learners are expected to take responsibilty for their own learning.

Qualifications required:
NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing plus 3 GCSEs of F or above 1 in English

Additional info:
Learners will not be expected to attend an industry salon as part of this course, they will instead be given study time in which they will work on assignments.
