Description

Fylde Coast YMCA provide quality accredited training at affordable prices for both companies and individuals. As a charity, all proceeds are re-invested back into the community, so not only do you receive quality training, you also actively contribute to the local community with a focus on young people.

We have venues in St Annes, Poulton-Le-Fylde, Fleetwood and Lakeside (on the shores of Lake Windermere).
Our training venues are based in locations with free parking and provide an appropriate learning environment whilst ensuring comfort throughout the course.

Are the courses accredited?
The courses are accredited with HABC, a nationally recognised awarding body or with the awarding institution. We can also accredit through CIEH on request.
We also run courses with internal certification, for information on these please contact us.

For groups of 7 or more staff, why not run training
in-house? All the courses can be run at a time and location of your choice and tailored to the needs of your organisation.

History

Welcome to
Fylde Coast YMCA
Through partnership between the YMCA, Fylde Borogh Council and Wyre Borough Council, we are able to provide the local community with a wide range of facilities and activities. We are both committed to motivating people of all ages to be more active and the promotion of healthy living in body, mind and spirit.

Participation in YMCA sport, health and fitness promotes a sense of well being, self confidence and belonging. It is hoped that activities provided within YMCA centres can make a real difference to communities, helping people meet and come together through a shared passion for sport and physical activities.

The YMCA activities outlined on this website reflect its commitment to providing services and opportunities for all people in the community. Within this the YMCA focus is on young people, in the belief that if you develop young people you build strong future communities. To this end, within the Wyre and Fylde Boroughs the YMCA also provides housing services, childcare and training opportunities.

CIEH Courses
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health is a leading awarding body for vocational qualifications in accredited food safety and health and safety.

IOSH Courses
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health has developed a series of certified programmes designed to promote protection from workplace hazards at every level. IOSH programmes are founded on best practice as well as legislation, ensuring that courses are relevant both in the UK and internationally.

HABC Courses
Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance is recognised by HSE, Ofqual, DCELLS, CCEA and SQA to award accredited Food Safety, Health and Safety, HACCP, First Aid and Licensing qualifications in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
