What's it all about?:
This course is ideal if you are already a gas engineer who now wishes to take your gas qualifications to a higher level. This comprehensive course will guide and encourage you, under supervision, to develop additional advanced gas engineer skills. You will then be able to tackle more complex systems in depth so that when you finish the course you will attain the confidence and competence of a gas technician or supervisor.

Successful completion of this programme will enhance your employment opportunities and enable you to progress, enabling corgi registration and opportunities to move to companies in a more senior role.
Entry Requirements:
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:
• four to five GCSEs at grades A-C (including English and maths)
• an intermediate GNVQ in a related subject
• a BTEC first diploma in a related subject
• an NVQ Level 2/technical certificate in a related subject
• successful completion of an apprenticeship course
• successful completion of the Gateway/Newstart course
• equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
To gain the full qualification candidates must be employed by a Corgi registered company and hold a gas technical certificate at level 2 and 3.

What does the course involve?:
The following units will be studied:
• design systems
• specify work programmes
• plan the work activities
• commission and decommission systems
• maintain the safe working environment
• establish, maintain and develop effective working relationships
• contribute to the improvement of business products and services
• apply gas safety measures
• install complex systems
• service and maintain complex systems.
When can I study?:
Fridays, 8.45am - 4.45pm
Are there any exams?:
You will be continually assessed to industrial standards as set by City & Guilds. Assessments are both work-based and College-based.

£660 per year. If you are receiving certain benefits, you may only have to pay a material fee.

Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £165.00 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £165.00 per year
