About this course

Graduates of this course will be able to identify, critically analyse and creatively solve intellectually complex, specialised professional engineering problems in power generation, underground and overhead power system design, and safety earthing in electrical systems. They will have an in-depth understanding of synthesis and design in specialist bodies of knowledge at the professional engineering level to apply fundamental power generation and power system design principles and evaluate safety and earthing system design
Graduates will use skills in established systematic design to source, analyse, synthesise, research, design and communicate projects and information individually or in collaboration with others.
Graduates will also demonstrate scientific, mathematical, design and international standards perspectives as ethical Professional Electrical System Engineers

Course programme

Students will study four units concurrently over 12 weeks in a true full-time study mode which would require a total of 20-30 hours per week of study. To help our students achieve success, we will provide a supportive learning environment including small class sizes, dedicated learning support officers, access to quality learning resources including e-library and remote labs and, for these fast tracked courses, dedicated one-to-one teaching support by one of our course specialist academics.
