Who is this for?
Students should ideally have studied the language for two years, but the Foundation GCSE is also available for those with more basic knowledge.
What Will I Learn?
Students will increase their confidence in listening, speaking and reading simple French texts. Letter writing and consolidating grammatical structures are also part of the course.
Content of the Course
An alternative to a level 3 class for those who need the motivation provided by an end of course exam. The full range of GCSE grades will be available on this course which will enable you to pass the exam in one year. Students should ideally have completed two years of study on an adult education course or elsewhere or may have a basic knowledge of French and be returning after a long gap in their studies. Students will be encouraged to increase their confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as consolidating their grasp of grammatical structures as detailed in the Edexcel French GCSE specification, which you may view online.

None.
Work needed to be Done outside of the Classroom
Regular homework will be set e.g. short essays, past papers, learning of vocabulary and grammar.
