This intensive 15 day course is specifically designed for career changers and new entrants to the electrical industry. It gives you everything you need to take the first steps in changing career to be a general domestic electrician. You do not need any experience as the course will give you the industry recognised City & Guilds electrical qualifications, in addition to all the technical knowledge and practical skills you need to become a successful electrical installer.
The following outlines the course content and type of work you will confidently be able to do when you graduate:
- Ring main circuits, basic and 2-way lighting circuits
- Radial power circuits
- Earthing & bonding procedures
- Calculating cable sizes & load demands
- Health & safety and electrical regulations
- Three phase systems and safe isolation procedures
- Part P VRQ qualification, allowing you to self certify your installations in accordance with Building regulations
- 17th edition inspection and testing
