Our accredited Geography with Remote Sensing and GIS BSc(Hons) provides a foundation in contemporary geographical issues while using geoinformatics and geographic information systems to explore the scientific and social context of global issues.
Balancing a broad subject area with an innovative technical component, you will develop expertise in the collection, processing, analysis and presentation of large spatial data sets.
The focus is on employability, transferable skills and applied learning. You will develop technical skills by using specialist equipment including professional-standard software, advanced differential GPS and laser scanning systems, and small remote-controlled aircraft systems.
Trips in the UK and to Greece and Sicily help you develop your field skills, while the paid placement year allows you to build experience and a network of professional contacts.
