2. Course description This course will help you familiarise yourself and make you more comfortable with your sewing machine - Find out its potential and what it can enable you to do. We will be covering threading, winding the bobbin, the many accessories and needles, problem solving, cleaning and maintenance, accurate sewing and making a buttonhole.

3. Entry requirements BeginnersWe welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs. Surrey Adult Learning values and supports equality and diversity by promoting fairness and respect at all times. 4. Equipment required Learners need to bring their own sewing machines, accessories and instruction booklets; assorted pieces of medium weight fabric or old clothing; sewing thread in a contrast colour to the fabric; a pen which can write on the fabric - a biro is fine as long as you can use it on the fabric. Pen and notebook. If there are any queries, please email the tutor at prior to the session. The query will be passed to the tutor who will get in touch with you if required. 5.
