Course programme

18 and 19 December 2017 in Princes Risborough,

This was really amazing last year, the gingerbread houses were out of this world and the children did themselves proud. This workshop runs over two mornings and the children or grown ups will need to attend both sessions. You can come as a family and make and decorate the house together.

On Morning 1 (from 10am-12.30pm) you will make up the gingerbread (doesn't have to be a house, it can be a castle if you want), cut it to shape and bake it and start drawing out the design for their houses/castles. You'll take part in our sugarpaste modelling masterclass to make Santa, Reindeer, Penguins and Snowmen. We'll stick it together when it cools and on Morning 2 (10am-12noon) you will decorate it with royal icing and stick sweeties onto it to finish it off - you'll have the most wonderful centrepiece for your Christmas Day table. If younger children (age 5-7) are doing the course on their own they may not need as long on the Tuesday morning to decorate their house, older children (age 8+) are welcome to stay until 12noon if they wish to spend more time with the decorating. We realise that younger ones often don't have the attention span to spend that long decorating the houses, you know your own children and we're happy to discuss this at the time of booking.

Aprons, ingredients, utensils and suitable boxes to take it home in will be provided. Please call to book places as these are limited and a Workshop Agreement must be signed before the you can take part. We reserve the right to reschedule workshops in case of illness or minimum bookings not being met. Once booked onto the course the place must be paid for in full and if you are unable to attend we're really sorry but you will not be refunded or be able to transfer to an alternative unless we can find someone else to take your place.

All our organisers are fully insured and police checked.
